LGBT Ireland also runs peer support groups for women and men who are, or have been, married (or in a long term heterosexual relationship) whose spouse / partner have disclosed that they now identify as gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender, or who are questioning their sexuality or gender identity. The peer support group offers a safe space for individuals to talk openly and confidentially with other men and women who are going through a similar experience.
The group is facilitated by experienced helpline volunteers but there are no agendas and is member focused.
The groups meet on the second Tuesday of each month, in Cork & Dublin. For more information about this peer support group phone the LGBT Helpline in confidence on 1890 929 539 or check out our Peer Group Support Diary for a group event near you.
